St. Paul’s Senior of the Month:
Mrs. Frieda Dollmetsch

"Frieda Dollmetsch has been a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church for many years.  She became a member after moving to Endicott from Middletown, New York with her parents, Clive and Frieda Dill.
Frieda met and married Harold Dollmetsch, a young fellow from Vestal and over the years, they had two wonderful children, Linda and Carl.
Frieda was active in St. Paul's, being involved in many activities.  She helped for years with the rummage sale.  She was active in the Women's organization and was very well known for her poetry writing.... creating poems for many occasions. Also, Frieda was the church secretary for over 20 years.
Outside of her church life, Frieda involved with other organizations too.  She was a member of the "Daughters of the Eastern Star", an arm of the Masons.  Frieda also was a member of the Rebekah Degree, the women's arm of the Odd Fellow Lodge.
Frieda now resides at the Riverview Manor Health Care Center in Owego.  You can send Frieda a note in care of her son, Carl Dollmetsch, at 1720 Pearl Street, Vestal, New York 13850.

The Vestry at St. Paul's has identified two goals for our congregation in the near future and this ministry with homebound parishioners was felt to be vital to our community life. One outcome from the Vestry's recent retreat at Skaneateles is to create a core group of parishioners who would take on the ministry of bringing St. Paul's greetings to those who are homebound
You don't have to be an expert in any field to volunteer time to make this mission come alive. All you need is a desire to reach out and help, to bring some joy to those we miss seeing in church
We are currently looking for people to help with this vital and exciting new ministry possibility. Share the gift of your presence with our friends who are no longer able to attend our services on a regular basis, or with those who are only temporarily unable to be with us.
